Explores the instances when a veil seems to be lifted from our sometimes desensitised perception of reality to reveal a mythical world just beneath the surface of our modern urban environment. Inspired by rendezvous and chance encounters in a city, the photographs express a sense of wonder with the everyday, yet extraordinary characters of the urban underworld. This ‘underworld’ is made up of a mixture of people from late night clubbers, tired workers, sub culture kids to homeless street dwellers. They are strangers, acquaintances, friends and animals. |
