Approach Togetherness film

Still from Approach Togetherness

Approach Togetherness, single channel video, 8 mins, 2012

The film investigates aspects of communal living and group activities. It includes documentary and pseudo-documentary footage and interviews relating to communal living space and household dynamics, house meetings and family meals.

Ritualistic activity and its consequential myth building sometimes emerge from close community interaction and simple living practices like building, sharing, nesting, eating, drinking, and games. Vernacular language, gesture and humour at times cause interruptions, brought on by our self-consciousness and our misplaced nostalgia for 60s and 70s counterculture movements.

The film is a Vulpes Vulpes collaboration.
